Vladimir Putin extended his greetings to the winners, organisers, and guests of the Heroes of the Fatherland – Heroes of Sports award ceremony.
The message reads, in part:
“Welcome to the Hall of Commanders at the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War for the Heroes of the Fatherland – Heroes of Sport award ceremony.
This award is presented to veterans of special military operation who honourably did their full duty to their homeland and, in peacetime, overcame difficult trials through their resilience and fortitude, achieved outstanding results in national and interregional competitions, inspired their comrades by their example, and made a significant contribution to the development of the Russian Paralympic movement.
In this regard, I would like to highlight the extensive and invaluable work of the Russian Paralympic Committee. Its significant projects and initiatives help our heroes demonstrate their talents and abilities both in sport and in the public arena.”
