The RI Cinema will have a new edition next Saturday (26th), at 9:45 am, at the Cinépolis in Shopping Praça Nova. The session will be free and open to the entire community.
The film to be screened will be "They Don't Wear Black-Tie", directed by Leon Hirszman and starring Gianfrancesco Guarnieri, Fernanda Montenegro and Carlos Alberto Riccelli. The work follows the conflict between father and son in the face of a strike - Otávio defends the mobilization of workers, while Tião decides not to join the movement -, raising questions about survival, rights, solidarity and the living conditions of the working class.
After the session, there will be a discussion with professors and space for questions from the public, connecting the past and present to think about the issue of work in Brazil.
The RI Cinema is an initiative of Paralelo 33 in partnership with extension projects and the Academic Directory of International Relations of UFSM, with the support of the Pro-Reitoria of Extension and the Cinemateca Brasileira.
There will be 6 hours of ACG certification for students.
