“Your forum traditionally brings together representatives of the relevant government agencies and the academic community from Russia and many other countries, as well as experts from the Global Fact-Checking Network (established by the TASS news agency, the autonomous non-profit organisation Dialogue Regions, and the New Media Workshop) to discuss pressing issues concerning the promotion of information culture in society and the fight against disinformation, particularly among young people.

I would like to emphasise that the rapid spread of artificial intelligence technologies and the associated threats constitute one of the major challenges in the field of information and communications today. In this context, establishing modern standards and rules aimed at ensuring robust information protection and privacy, and at enhancing the effectiveness of efforts to counter digital risks, is of particular importance.

I am confident that this forum will proceed in a constructive spirit and that its decisions and recommendations will prove valuable in practice.”
