Audio: Scholarship program for teacher initiation is now law

The law for the Postgraduate Teaching Internship Program (Pibid) was sanctioned this week, which offers scholarships to undergraduate students for training activities in public schools. Law 15.518 defines objectives, principles, scholarship modalities, and the participation of higher education institutions and public basic education networks, as well as the evaluation of the policy. Until then, the program did not have its own law and operated based on portarias and decrees. The new law establishes that the Pibid will continue to be developed by the Ministry of Education and the Capes, in partnership with educational institutions.
