WHO daily limits (World Health Organization): PM 2.5 ≤15, PM 10 ≤45 μg/m³.

Space weather (also known as space meteorology).

Planetary K index (Kp, 0–9 scale): measures geomagnetic disturbance. Low = stable shortwave propagation for radio amateurs; high = storm affecting satellites and GPS (Global Positioning System).

Solar flux (F10.7 cm, that is, the Sun's brightness at radio wavelengths of 10.7 cm, measured in SFU — Solar Flux Units): high means an active Sun.

Aurora only visible with Kp (planetary K index) ≥ 5, at high northern latitudes (Iceland, northern Norway, Alaska) or southern ones (Patagonia, Antarctica).

NOAA SWPC (Space Weather Prediction Center of NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the United States ocean and atmosphere agency): the official United States centre for space-weather forecasting, operating around the clock since 1965.

The only body issuing global alerts for power grids, satellites, GPS (Global Positioning System) and radio amateurs.
