The Commission of Constitution and Justice and Citizenship (CCJ) of the Chamber of Deputies approved a series of proposals that create commemorative dates and honor events and historical figures, among others.
10 proposals were approved, with 8 of them being conclusivein natureand must go directly to the Federal Senate or to presidential sanction, unless in the case of an appeal for analysis by the Chamber Plenary. The PLs 2829/24 and 4159/25 still depend on voting in the Plenary.
Check out the bills approved by the CCJ:
- PL 3968/23 - recognizes the Homem da Meia-Noite group from Olinda (PE) as a manifestation of national culture;
- PL 5786/25 - recognizes the Irmandade da Boa Morte and the Festa da Irmandade da Boa Morte (BA) as manifestations of national culture;
- PL 949/26 - recognizes the Individual Remunerated Passenger Transport Service operated by taximeter vehicles (taxis) as a manifestation of national culture;
- PL 4159/25 - registers the name of Father Ignacio de Sousa Rolim in the Book of Heroes and Heroines of the Fatherland, deposited in the Tancredo Neves Fatherland and Freedom Pantheon, in Brasília;
- PL 5324/23 - creates the National Day of the Public Prosecutor, to be celebrated annually on September 22;
- PL 5819/23 - establishes the National Day of the Brazilian Composer and Musical Composer, to be celebrated annually on October 17 (birth of Chiquinha Gonzaga);
- PL 1088/25 - establishes the National Month of Combating Sedentarism and Preventing Obesity, to be celebrated annually in April;
- PL 1637/25 - creates the National Cashew Day, to be celebrated annually on September 1;
- PL 2829/24 - designates the Viaduto Severo Eulálio Filho for the viaduct located on BR-343, in Ladeira do Uruguai, eastern zone of Teresina (PI);
- PL 3177/24 - appoints Contorno Viário Luiz Henrique da Silveira for the BR-101/SC bypass, located between the municipalities of Biguaçu, São José and Palhoça, in the Florianópolis metropolitan area (SC).
