Achievements were celebrated with the management team of UFG, who participated in meetings on campus.

The academic community of the Campus Cidade de Goiás of UFG experienced a historic day on Wednesday (September 2nd). One of the milestones was the approval, in the local councils, of the proposals for the creation of the two first postgraduate coursesstricto sensuof the Institution in the city: the master's degrees in Social Work and in Teaching of Science and Rural Education, which now go to internal evaluation by the Pro-Rectory of Postgraduate Studies (PRPG). In addition, the management received the deed of the property acquired by UFG to be used as a student residence. The achievements were celebrated and valued by the management team of UFG, who were present at the location for various meetings on the same day.
The rector, Sandramara Matias Chaves, the vice-rector, Camila Cardoso Caixeta, deans, secretaries, and advisors were received by the campus director, Álison Cleiton de Araújo, and the heads of the Special Unit of Human Sciences (UAECH), Carlos Antônio Pereira Júnior, and the Special Unit of Applied Social Sciences (UAECSA), Vitor Sousa Freitas. The representatives from the Rectorate participated in the meetings of the collegiate bodies and spoke with professors, administrative staff, and students at the campus.

The community raised issues related to the needs of the units, such as physical infrastructure and accessibility, adequate transportation for activities in the community, shortage of administrative staff, the mental health of employees, the need for specific materials for the Architecture course, observations about access to the Institution, and new requests that will arise from the new building under construction in the unit. Director Álison Cleiton drew attention to the specifics of internalization and reminded that the campus has a complex territoriality, with courses that operate on the border between urban and rural areas; in addition, it is a unit that trains teachers, which is very powerful and has a group that works very strongly and changes the landscape of the region.
Sandramara Matias Chaves thanked the academic community of the Cidade de Goiás campus and emphasized that it is very important for the team to participate in these moments and get to know the University better. For her, it is essential to listen to people, and disagreements are part of the natural characteristic of the Institution, which values the debate of ideas. The vice-rector completed: "The University is very creative, very powerful, so it is important to make the diagnosis and think of solutions for the challenges."
In both committee meetings, the Deputy Secretary of Planning, Evaluation and Institutional Information of UFG, Denise de Castro, presented the University Management Plan, which is available atplanodegestao.ufg.brThe participants praised the team's willingness to visit the campus and engage with local issues, promoting dialogue and transparency.
