Starting next Wednesday (9th), the "Conversing about Political Theory – Study Meetings" project will hold a series of five meetings on "Decision-making, electoral behavior, and the 2026 election." Organized by the Research and Studies Nucleus in Political Science at UFSM and coordinated by Professor Cleber Ori Cuti Martins, the project aims, in this edition, to address theoretical and explanatory factors for voting decisions, as well as for the behavior of Brazilians in the 2026 elections. Open to the participation of the general public, the meetings will take place from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in room 2375 of building 74A of the main campus.
No prior registration is required to participate in the project. In addition, those who participate in at least three meetings will receive a certificate.

September 9 –"Theoretical-explanatory factors for voting decisions," with João Luiz Franzon and Guilherme Teixeira de Oliveira, Master's students in Social Sciences.
September 23 –"Presidential Elections and Voting Decision," by Patrick da Silva Pinheiro Machado and Larissa Pauletto Machado, Social Science undergraduates, and Fátima Müller Haas, Social Science postgraduate student
October 7 –"Performance, Ideology, Rationality, and Values: Foundations of Voting," by Julia Dallé, Social Science undergraduate
October 21 –"Voting Trends and the Results of the First Round," by Juliana Felix and Maria Eduarda Brendler Nosvitz, doctoral students in Social Sciences
November 4 –"Past, Present, and Future: Context and Consequences of the Election," by Flávio Marcelo Busnello and Cleber Ori Cuti Martins, professors of the Department of Social Sciences
