Book fairs, shows and forums highlight Xinjiang Reading Conference

The third Xinjiang National Reading Conference has kicked off in Hotan, Xinjiang under the theme of "Deepening Nationwide Reading." The event aims to foster a love for books and strengthen cultural identity. At the opening ceremony, model campuses, families and enterprises were honored, 10 reading promoters appointed, and 35 recommended Xinjiang books published in 2025 were released. The conference also featured book fairs, an evening reading performance and forums on youth reading. Parallel activities were held across Hotan to encourage people to make reading part of daily life.
