At 400 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of South Plains, or 13 miles southwest of Caprock Canyon State Park, moving northeast at 10 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable tree damage.
