TheVice-Rechord of Post-Graduation and Research (Propp)makes public theRegulationso that UFJF's Scientific Initiation students can present their works at32nd UFJF Initiation of Scientific SeminarThe event covers both Graduate and High School/Junior modalities. It is important to emphasize that all projects with UFJF, CNPq, and Fapemig scholarships and/or with the participation of initiated volunteers in 2025 must be mandatory registered. Projects with Fapemig funding initiated in 2025 and already registered in the previous seminar do not need to register again.
Registrations must be made by the project's supervisor, through theFollow, by sending a project abstract and the link to the presentation video. The abstract should be between 900 and 2,250 characters, and the video should be between two and five minutes. Each project should submit only one video, regardless of the number of linked students. The Semic will be held in two stages. In the first, all works will be presentedThrough videos published on YouTubeand evaluated remotely. The selected ones advance to the on-site phase, which takes place between November 5th and 7th, with poster presentations at the campuses of Juiz de Fora and Governador Valadares.
The evaluation considers the abstract and the video. The abstract represents 20% of the final grade, while the video accounts for 80%. Among the criteria are content quality, originality, relevance, contribution to the student's training, clarity in communication, and the ability to spark public interest. One of the event's goals is to share the knowledge produced at the University with the academic and external community.
There will be a special award for the video that achieves the highest number of "likes," as well as honorable mention to others that stand out. All registered participants will receive a participation certificate. The two best on-site presentations from each major area will receive specific certification, for Juiz de Fora works, and for Governador Valadares works, the two best-evaluated presentations among all areas will receive specific certification.
