At 145 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated weakening thunderstorms over the warned area that extends from Oro Valley into the Catalina Foothills. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Catalina, Oro Valley, Marana, Casas Adobes, Flowing Wells, Tanque Verde, Tortolita, Catalina State Park, Catalina Foothills, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area and Seven Falls. This includes the following highways... Route 77 between mile markers 71 and 87. Interstate 10 between mile markers 243 and 253. This includes the following Flash Flood Prone Locations... Silverbell Rd near Ina Rd, Camino De La Tierra at the Rillito River, Limberlost Rd from Soilder Trail to Homestead Ave, Overton Rd at Canada del Oro, Snyder Rd from Kolb Rd to Sabino Canyon Rd, Sunset Rd west of Camino de Oeste and E Wilds Rd at the Canada del Oro.
