Tradition lives on: SCO musicians give nomadic sounds a new voice

From the winds of the steppe to the songs of rivers and grasslands, the sounds of nomadic heritage are finding new life through music. This next story brings together three musicians from the SCO region – Nur Cholpon from Kyrgyzstan, Tsendsuren from Mongolia, and Namgar from the Republic of Buryatia, Russia. Rooted in centuries-old folk traditions, they blend traditional sounds with contemporary musical styles, giving ancient melodies a fresh voice for a new generation.
