Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, guests and organisers of the 9th International Oncology and Radiotherapy Forum – For Life.
The message reads in part:
“Your traditional meetings bring together, both in person and online, leading Russian and international specialists in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer. Such broad representation is of great practical importance. It makes it possible to discuss key professional issues at an expert level, to share experience, and to gain insights into the latest advances in fundamental research and promising technologies, as well as to propose modern approaches to improving the effectiveness of medical care.
This year’s forum is dedicated to the 155th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Herzen, one of the founders of the Russian school of oncology. It is gratifying that you are carefully preserving the unique scientific and creative legacy of this outstanding scientist, surgeon and talented healthcare administrator, as well as that of his students, and that you are serving your chosen vocation and the people with dedication and selflessness.”
