The Public Prosecutor's Office of Ceará has noted improvements in the structure and service of the Municipal Irmã Giuliana Galli School, in the Serrinha neighborhood, in Fortaleza, during a visit carried out on Wednesday (September 16) to monitor the implementation of the "Inclusive School: Rights that Transform" project, funded by the State's Fund for Diffuse Rights (FDID). The initiative, developed by the Irmã Giuliana Galli Institute (IIGG), has benefited the unit with new adapted furniture, the installation of tatami mats and rubber flooring, as well as the hiring of professionals.
With the resources received through the FDID, the institution acquired chairs and tables used by children in the school environment, as well as installed tatami mats and rubber flooring in the classrooms, providing more comfort and safety for students.
The project also expanded support for the educational and social development of children with the hiring of a psychologist for therapeutic support and an environmental educator, responsible for the implementation of an educational garden, where students have the opportunity to learn about Brazilian flora in a practical and interactive way.
The initiative benefits approximately 500 children served by the Institute and the school, promoting a safer, more accessible and inclusive school environment, as well as the integral development of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other special educational needs (SEN) through educational, therapeutic and environmental actions.
FDID
The Fund for Diffuse Rights of the State of Ceará is funded by fines imposed by the Decon, as well as amounts originating from convictions and agreements in Public Civil Actions and other instruments established by the Public Prosecutor's Office. The funds are allocated to the financing of social, environmental, and educational projects.
