Flash Flood Warning issued September 18 at 11:51PM CDT until September 19 at 1:00AM CDT by NWS La Crosse WI

At 1151 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported thunderstorms producing heavy rain. Trees were washed down at highway 43 from south Rushford to Bratsberg. Minnesota highway 16 between Wayland and Peterson has flooding reported along the highway. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Law enforcement reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Chatfield, Rushford, Grand Meadow, Lanesboro, Brownsdale, Wykoff, Fountain, Lansing, Rushford Village, Washington, Racine, Mayville, Dexter, Pilot Mound, Arendahl, Peterson, Waltham and Whalan.
