Vladimir Putin sent a message of congratulations to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Under your leadership, Turkmenistan has been steadily generating positive momentum in advancing its social and economic development. Ashgabat’s consistent commitment to the policy of positive neutrality has helped strengthen security and stability in Central Asia and the Caspian region.
Our two countries have forged a deep strategic partnership in their relations. Russia and Turkmenistan have been proactive in working together across various domains, and have been effectively cooperating when addressing major international issues. Of course, we will maintain our constructive dialogue and our joint efforts to further strengthen our bilateral relations in all their aspects in the interests of our friendly nations.
I am sending you my heartfelt wishes of good health and success in performing your state duties, while wishing happiness and prosperity to all your compatriots.”
