The Judicial Police, through the Northern Directorate, detained, yesterday, a 64-year-old man for the presumed authorship of sexual coercion and rape crimes committed at the end of last September in Valongo.
The investigation began with the denunciation of a relative of the victim, and immediate efforts to obtain evidence were carried out, allowing the context of the abusive sexual acts committed against the victim, a accompanied adult, in his residence to be established.
The detained individual, a relative of the victim's guardian, taking advantage of his authority and the evident relationship of trust and influence he had with her and the rest of the family, decided to subject her to abusive sexual practices under the pretext of introducing her to sexual life.
The detained person will be presented to the competent judicial authorities today for the first judicial interrogation and the application of coercive measures.
