The October 4th date itself could be decisive, depending on how the still many undecided voters, those who intended to nullify their vote, or any other new factor influences the final decision at the ballot box. This presidential election is one of the most important in Brazilian history. Not because elections, in themselves, determine the future of Brazil and the world. At least, in normal conditions. But this time, in the Brazilian and global context, this election has acquired a special tone and importance.
The "North Empire," or at least its current commanders, are more than watching, waiting to see what happens. They want to control or dominate Latin America and the Caribbean.
Brazilian democracy and sovereignty are at stake. And they are at risk, if there is a eventual victory of the far-right neofascist and theultra-liberalism.
Theclimate crisisand its consequences, in Rio Grande do Sul, in Brazil, and now also in the world, threaten the lives and survival of people and communities, as seen again this week.
It is necessary to face and overcome, in the medium and long term, a civilization crisis like few times and in the history of humanity.
All of this and more is at stake. Therefore, in this final stretch, in the last days, in the last hours, and even on Sunday, it is necessary to talk, to seek each vote, one by one, for president, for governor, for senators, federal and state deputies. Without stopping for a minute or second. No vote can be lost or wasted: of young people, of elderly and elderly, of anyone and anyone eligible to vote.
Without wasting time, therefore. Much less rest. October 4, 2026 will undoubtedly enter History, with a capital H. May hope be renewed! May the rights of all be affirmed and confirmed. May social and popular participation have and increase space.
