Greetings to participants, organisers, and guests of the 12th St Petersburg International United Cultures Forum

The message reads, in part:

”Over the years, the Forum has established itself as a major international cultural event, bringing together distinguished writers, artists, creative professionals, and members of the expert community from many countries. Today, it deservedly ranks among the most important events in cultural life both in Russia and around the world.

The theme of this year’s Forum, “United Cultures, Common Values”, is particularly significant. Throughout history, culture has served as a strong foundation for understanding between people and nations, helping to preserve historical memory, spiritual and moral values, as well as passing them from one generation to the next. Respect for one another’s distinctiveness and traditions, together with a willingness to engage in open dialogue as equals, enables us to find common ground even in the most difficult circumstances.

I am confident that the 12^th St Petersburg International United Cultures Forum will take place in a constructive and creative atmosphere and that it will help strengthen international humanitarian cooperation and launch promising new joint projects.

And, of course, the Forum’s rich business and cultural programme will give participants and guests vivid and unforgettable impressions of their time in St Petersburg, a city with a unique historical and cultural heritage“.
