Chinese President Xi Jinping's state visit to the United States has enriched the substance of China-US relations and provided clearer strategic guidance for the two major countries to seek the right path to get along with each other, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Saturday.
Wang, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks while briefing reporters on Xi's visit to the US from September 23 to 25.
President Xi and US President Donald Trump held candid and in-depth discussions on strategic and overarching issues concerning bilateral ties and the international situation in a friendly atmosphere of mutual respect, Wang said, adding that the two sides agreed to build a constructive relationship of strategic stability based on respect, fairness and reciprocity, further enriching the new positioning of bilateral ties.
