At 337 AM MST /437 AM MDT/, a few hours ago, a river gauge on the Paria River in Utah reported a rapid rise of 4.47 feet from heavy rain over the Paria River, and has started to decrease a couple of feet. This means the flood wave is currently moving through the Paria River within Arizona. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Heavy rain producing flash flooding in and around the Paria River. SOURCE...River gauge reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of areas in and around the Paria River. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Paria Canyon, Paria River Slot Canyon, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument and Lees Ferry.
