Vladimir Putin sent greetings to the participants, organisers and guests of the Russian Forum of Young Scientists ‘Polyus,’ which is taking place in Arkhangelsk.
The message reads, in part:
“Your gathering has once again brought together activists from the Movement of the First, schoolchildren and university students, researchers, and science communicators. It has united proactive and gifted young people from across Russia’s regions who are eager to contribute to the Arctic’s continued development, to foster the prudent and efficient use of the Polar region, and to ensure the reliable operation of the Trans-Arctic Transport Corridor.
I am confident that the forum will be a success, distinguished by high organisational and creative standards. Its rich programme featuring educational and outreach events as well as practical workshops will open up a wide range of opportunities for participants, help them acquire new knowledge and skills, and facilitate the realisation of bold ideas that will prove valuable and beneficial to our country.”
