On 3 March 2022 the governing body of the European Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI) adopted a statement condemning the aggression against the peoples of Ukraine and pledging full support to the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.
The National Audit Office fully supports the statement.
As called for by the EUROSAI governing board, we will refrain from any bilateral cooperation with the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation and the State Control Committee of the Republic of Belarus.
We will also be ready to respond to any requests for support from the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine in performing its audit duties.
Our thoughts are with the people of Ukraine.
Our international relations
The NAO is the Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) of the United Kingdom. We work bilaterally with other SAIs and through bodies such as the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI). We are a longstanding member of the regional body EUROSAI which is comprised of 51 bodies from across the continent of Europe, and currently have a seat on its governing body.
