The Astrophysics Division at NASA Headquarters is looking for one or more interns to incorporate Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools across different aspects of the day-to-day activities, to improve the decision-making process and increase efficiency.
This internship focuses on leveraging the power of Generative AI (GenAI) to mine different online resources and uniquely track publications that use data from the Fermi gamma-ray space telescope. The selected intern will work with NASA Headquarters and the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Fermi team and will use a combination of code-based tools (e.g., Python) and GenAI prompt engineering technique to create a dashboard and database of the past 18 years of Fermi data usage and their impact in Astrophysics research.
