Congress enacts law to reduce waiting times for INSS benefit payments

It was promulgated theLaw 15.497, enacted in 2026, which expands the scope of the INSS task force, implemented for the review of benefits, to the initial granting of these rights. Derived from a provisional measure, the law aims to reduce waiting times. The text reduces the deadline from 45 to 30 days for a process to be considered eligible for this special review regime.
