As Chinese President Xi Jinping is set to attend the BRICS Summit in New Delhi from September 12 to 13, people from different countries are looking to the meeting for new momentum in cooperation.
They expect closer China-India ties to create more opportunities for trade and people-to-people exchanges, while BRICS cooperation in vocational education and skills development could bring more opportunities to member countries.
China's economic development is also seen as an example for the Global South, offering inspiration in areas including market expansion, skills and innovation.
