FFWABQ The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has extended the * Flash Flood Warning for... The Frijoles burn scar in... Southeastern Rio Arriba County in north central New Mexico... Northeastern Santa Fe County in north central New Mexico... * Until 745 PM MDT. * At 643 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing moderate rain over the Frijoles Burn Scar and areas to the west of the burn scar, including Chimayo and Cundiyo. Between 1 and 1.75 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Excessive rainfall over the burn scar will impact the Rio Frijoles, Rio Medio and Chimayo Creek as well as Camino del Canon, County Road 127 and Camino del Molino. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose materials. Flooding may also impact Highway 503 and Cundiyo.
