Japanese scholar urges Japan to confront its wartime history

Japanese scholar Atsushi Koketsu says Japan cannot build trust with other countries without sincerely confronting its history of wartime aggression. He warns that historical revisionism and the downplaying of wartime atrocities risk leaving the truth buried for future generations.
