Ninety years ago, crossing Jiajin Mountain in southwest China was a grueling test for the Red Army during the Long March, with freezing temperatures, deep snow and treacherous terrain. Today, at the foot of the same mountain, a Tibetan woman is taking on a different kind of challenge — keeping her community's traditional crafts alive. For years, she used her camera to document her hometown and its culture. Then she realized that simply recording them was not enough.
