Flash Flood Warning issued September 22 at 5:54PM MDT until September 22 at 7:30PM MDT by NWS Albuquerque NM

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR SOUTHWESTERN MORA COUNTY... At 554 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. A report of 5.89 inches of rain has been recorded at the JTH Forestry Center in Mora. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.25 inches are possible in the warned area. Significant flash flooding is already occurring in Monte Aplanado and Mora. Highway 94 is also flooded and impassible south of Mora. FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Mora, Monte Aplanado, Canon and Ledoux as well as the Rito Cebolla. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW! Mora, Ledoux, Morphy Lake State Park, Monte Aplanado and Golondrinas. This includes State Road 518 between Mile Markers 19 and 21...and near Mile Marker 29. This includes the following recreation areas... Morphy Lake State Park. Flash flooding is also expected in the Rito Cebolla. Stay away from river banks.…
