On Sunday (27), the last before the first round of elections, presidential campaigns are intensifying street mobilizations across the country.The candidacy of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT)is holding the "Let's Go Lula" event, with over 500 activities organized by militants, allied parties, and popular movements in the 27 capitals and hundreds of municipalities.
Although the candidate does not have an official public agenda on the day, the PT and popular committees are organizing the national event, which addresses social and economic issues of the re-election campaign, such as the increase in the minimum wage, the exemption of Income Tax (IR) for those who earn up to R$ 5,000, andthe end of the 6×1 work schedule, the elimination of taxes on the basic basket and thecombating virtual betting platforms (bets).
The program in São Paulo (SP) includes the "Pedal with Lula" on Avenida Paulista, the "Act of Women for Democracy" in Praça da Sé, and cultural activities in Parque da Água Branca, with the participation of candidates for state government, Fernando Haddad, and for the Senate, Marina Silva and Simone Tebet.
In Rio de Janeiro (RJ), the mobilization includes leafletting in the west zone and acts on the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. In Belo Horizonte (MG), the militants meet at the "Political Act Bora Lula" in Praça Raul Soares, as well as walks in neighborhoods and clusters.
In Salvador (BA), the actions include walks in Paripe and meetings with the legal segment in Farol da Barra. In Recife (PE), the journey holds the "Pedalada da Cultura" on Avenida da Aurora and walks in popular neighborhoods, while in Fortaleza (CE) cultural festivals take place in the Genibaú neighborhood and walks on Iracema beach.
The mobilization also includes university processions and convoys in riverside municipalities in Pará, as well as leaflet distribution at the Porto Market in Cuiabá (MT).
In Porto Alegre (RS), the movement organizes rallies in Parque da Redenção and on the banks of the Guaíba River, while Curitiba (PR) hosts political events in Largo da Ordem and Praça Santos Andrade.
Abroad, Brazilian residents in Europe are organizingdemonstrations in support of reelection in public squares.There are planned rallies and walks in Lisbon and Almada, in Portugal, cultural activities in Rio Túria, in Valencia, in Spain, and a march from the Brazilian Embassy to Parliament Square, in London, in the United Kingdom.
Motorcycle Parade
Thecandidate Flávio Bolsonaro (PL)will fulfill his morning schedule, at 9:15 am, with a rally in the Atalaia neighborhood, in Aracaju (SE), followed by a motorcycle parade to the Treze de Julho viewpoint.
In the afternoon, the candidate travels to Goiânia (GO), where he will lead a motorcycle parade starting at 3:30 pm, with a concentration at the Serra Dourada Stadium, and a closing rally in the Flamboyant Park, starting at 4:30 pm.
Candidate Renan Santos (Mission) participates in a meeting with supporters in Salvador (BA), at 16:00.
Ronaldo Caiado (PSD) and Romeu Zema (Novo) had not disclosed their Sunday agenda until the publication of this report.
