Little Blue River Near Deweese affecting Clay and Nuckolls Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast to continue through at least Friday morning. * WHERE...Little Blue River near Deweese, including the reach of the river from near Deweese to near Oak. * WHEN...Until Friday evening. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Water overflows rural agricultural land and reaches the base of several buildings located 1.5 miles east of Deweese. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 12.0 feet, which was 2.0 feet above the minor flood stage of 10.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to soon crest around 12.5ft this evening with water levels later expected to fall back below flood stage by Friday morning.
