Imagine paper that holds real flowers and leaves inside its fibers. That's Guizhou's Huacao Paper, a 1,400-year-old craft from Shiqiao Village in Danzhai County. Made from mulberry bark through ancient Tang‑dynasty techniques, artisans embed fresh petals and foliage into wet pulp, then let it dry naturally under the sun.

This heritage craft is recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, and its finest grade, Yingchun Paper, is so durable it can last 1,500 years – which is why it's used to restore ancient texts at the Forbidden City. Today, Huacao Paper has found new life in creative products like lamps, fans and bookmarks, and is being exported to over 40 countries. (Photos via CGTN)
