Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna called for increased pressure on Russia and deeper international isolation of the Kremlin over the continued Russian attacks on Ukraine's civilian population.

According to Ukrinform, the Estonian foreign minister stated this on the social media platform X.

"Another night of Russian drone barrages tore across Ukraine, with the village of Myla absorbing one of the heaviest strikes. Russian drones shredded critical infrastructure, hit warehouses, residential blocks, care homes, and killed 27 people," Tsahkna said.

He added that Odesa, Dnipro and Kyiv were also targeted by Russian attacks overnight.

"Russia's objective is clear: terror and destruction. This week's repeated strikes on critical infrastructure show a calculated effort to leave Ukrainians cold, hungry and in the dark before winter. Kremlin's plan must fail," the Estonian diplomat emphasized.

Tsahkna stressed that support for Ukraine must remain unwavering and sustained across all areas.

"Pressure on Russia must intensify, stronger sanctions, deeper international isolation, zero concessions," Tsahkna urged.

As Ukrinform reported, 27 people were killed and more than 40 injured in a Russian attack in Kyiv region's Bucha district on the evening of August 28.

In Kyiv region's Boryspil district, a 14-year-old girl was killed in a Russian drone attack on the morning of August 29. There were also other casualties.

Sunday, August 30, has been declared a day of mourning in Kyiv region for the victims of the Russian attack.
