China Popcast: China-US international students' hangout

Every year, young people from China and the US cross the Pacific – some for degree and study programs, others for shorter visits and exchanges. This episode of China Popcast is a hangout where we tap into the life of Chinese people and Americans studying in each other's countries, as well as check in with young Americans touring China on a trip that forms part of China's initiative to have 50,000 young Americans visit within a five-year period. From the US, we have a student majoring in Chinese studies and sinology at Beijing Language and Culture University, Darien Vargas; and from China, we have Liu Tingxi and Duan Jinyi, who are at the University of California, Santa Barbara and Grand Canyon University respectively. Together, we discuss their student experiences and their hopes for China-US exchanges as well as their life paths.
