The Pro-rectory of Culture of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (Procult/UFJF) announces the publication of Call No. 03/2026, a continuous mechanism for the official registration and recognition of cultural initiatives developed by the institution without the need for grants. The call covers everything from isolated events and medium-term projects to permanent and ongoing programs, with registration being a mandatory requirement for any proposal seeking future support from Procult. The public call aims to strengthen the transformative action of culture both in the academic environment and in the external community, promoting integration between staff, students, and society.
Submissions are free and fully digital, and can be made continuously until December 31, 2026, through the Siga-X system. Registered proposals will have a validity of up to three years (36 months), after which a brief report must be submitted. The evaluation carried out by Procult has up to 20 business days to publish the results on the page:www2.ufjf.br/procultThe coordination can be assumed by permanent faculty, substitutes, visiting professors, or administrative staff in higher education. If the coordinator is not a permanent faculty member, it is mandatory to indicate a vice-coordinator from the permanent staff. The participating team may include students and external members to the university.
It is important to highlight that registration takes place at the time when the Individual Work Plan (PIT) and the Individual Work Report (RIT) – mandatory documents used to plan and evaluate the activities of teachers and administrative staff in Brazilian universities and federal institutions – come into effect, and are maintained by the UFJF systems. This public call is a major advance, as previously, there were only records for projects approved with a scholarship.
About modalities and rules
The call categorizes submissions into three distinct formats. Cultural actions encompass short-term events, such as workshops, concerts, and exhibitions. Cultural projects bring together a coordinated set of actions with medium-term goals. Cultural programs function as permanent structures of long duration aimed at social transformation, aligned with institutional guidelines such as democratization of access and public formation.
To register, the interested party must first complete theofficial registration formAfter completion, the document must be saved in PDF format and attached to the process in the Siga-X system, under the heading "Cadastro de Ações, Projetos e Programas Culturais – Demanda Espontânea 2026". Depending on the nature of the proposal, additional documents, such as signed responsibility statements from the team, opinions from Ethics Committees (for initiatives involving humans or animals), and proof of prior financial support, must also be attached. In the event of rejection, the applicant may make the indicated adjustments and resubmit the proposal.
