The Kursk Group of Forces reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
The military stressed that both settlements remain under the control of Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
According to Ukrainian units, Russian forces managed only to carry out isolated assault attempts, which ended where they began.
The Kursk Group noted that over the past week, Russian forces had already claimed the alleged “liberation” of five settlements in the Sumy region.
“If these reports were to be believed, the enemy should have run out of villages in the Sumy region long ago. But the Russians keep finding villages to ‘liberate’ again and again,” the grouping said.
Civilians were urged not to trust enemy information resources and to rely on official reports from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The situation in the area is under control, and units are carrying out their combat missions,” the military stressed.
