China is deepening trade and investment ties with members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, or SCO, as the bloc marks its 25th anniversary.

At a press conference on Monday, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, or CCPIT, said it issued 669,600 certificates of origin to SCO member states from January to July, up 9.62% year on year. It also issued 561 ATA Carnets, which facilitate the temporary movement of goods across borders without customs duties and taxes, up 45.71% percent from a year earlier.

From August 27 to 30, CCPIT Chairman Ren Hongbin led a delegation of more than 100 Chinese business leaders to Kyrgyzstan, which is hosting this year's SCO summit. It was one of the largest Chinese business delegations to the country in recent years.

During the visit, China and Kyrgyzstan co-hosted a business and investment forum attended by more than 300 representatives from government departments, business associations and companies from both countries. The two sides explored cooperation in trade and investment, green energy, connectivity and the digital economy, and reached a number of practical cooperation outcomes.
