On Moscow City Day, Vladimir Putin, together with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, took part, via videoconference, in the launch of a number of infrastructure facilities in the capital.

The renovation of the Eduard Streltsov Torpedo Stadium has been completed. The renovated arena has the capacity of 15,000 seats. The project was fully funded by private investments from the Sminex and Sibpromstroy companies. The President autographed a ball that will be handed over to the football club.

The third phase of the Dream Island amusement park has been opened. In addition to the roofed section, an outdoor part of the park with various themed zones has been built, and 20 new amusement rides have been created.

Moscow’s new railway terminal, Serp i Molot, has started operating. It is now part of a major transport hub that joins the MCD‑4 station, the Rimskaya metro station of the Lyublinsko‑Dmitrovskaya line, and the Ploshchad Ilyicha station of the Kalininskaya line.

Passenger traffic has been launched on the first section of the new Rublevo‑Arkhangelskaya metro line – from the Delovoy Tsentr station to the General Karbyshev Boulevard station. The line will subsequently connect the two largest business districts of the capital – Moscow‑City and SberCity.
