Vladimir Putin sent greetings to President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the occasion of his birthday.
The message reads, in part:
“For many years, you have worked tirelessly as Head of State, promoting the successful socioeconomic development of our sister nation, Belarus, and defending its interests in the international arena. It is hard to overstate your personal contribution to strengthening the friendly relations between our countries, as well as to the development of the institutions of the Union State.
I really value the mutual understanding and trust that have developed between us. And we shall, of course, continue our friendly relations and constructive collaboration to enhance the wide-ranging Russian-Belarusian cooperation, as well as to promote mutually beneficial integration processes in the Eurasian space.
Mr Lukashenko, I sincerely wish you good health, happiness, prosperity and success in your public service.”
