Ahead of the new academic year, Vladimir Putin visited Moscow State Pedagogical University.
The President toured the United School – United Country exhibition showcasing the achievements of Russian education and took part in the opening of new educational facilities via videoconference. The President also spoke with teachers, students majoring in teaching, and pupils in teacher-training classes.
Moscow State Pedagogical University (MPGU) is Russia’s oldest teacher-training university; in 2022, it celebrated its 150th anniversary. It is a major centre for research, education and awareness-raising. The university comprises 17 institutes and faculties, a lyceum and a college, as well as branches in Stavropol, Anapa, Derbent, Pokrov and Chernyakhovsk.
