The workshops on creative writing and comic book creation will resume in September at the Henrique Bastide Municipal Library, as they had already done inprevious semesterWith the aim of stimulating creativity through simple exercises, the workshops are free and open to everyone. The idea is that people who want to write can participate, without needing any prior knowledge of literary texts or drawing.
The meetings will be held monthly at the Library (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1300, Fátima neighborhood, in Largo da Locomotiva), on Tuesdays, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The exercises are based on the ideas of the French groups Oulipo (focused on literature) and Oubapo (of comic strips).

The extension project is promoted by theGrupo de Pesquisa Oficina de escrita Quadrinhos e Tradução (GPOQT), coordinated by Professor Maria Clara Carneiro, from the Department of Modern Foreign Languages at the Center for Arts and Letters (DLEM/CAL), and taught by students from the Postgraduate Program in Letters (PPGL).
The group of students has been animating the building of the Letters, a comic book reading club that has also returnedto activities last week.
