Registration for the Pedagogical Support Program (PAP) of the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF) is now open. Linked to the Pro-Rectory of Undergraduate Studies (Prograd), the program offers pedagogical support to newly enrolled undergraduate students, contributing to their integration into the University and the development of the skills and knowledge necessary for their academic journey.
Registration can be carried out between this Thursday, September 3, and September 10, via SIGAX platformThe activities will begin on September 16th.
In this edition, PAP offers activities in two modalities:Mathematics and its TechnologiesandLanguages and Their TechnologiesThe proposal is to enable the review of fundamental concepts of High School that can contribute to the monitoring of subjects throughout the undergraduate program. The program has a total of 30 hours.
The two modalities also include activities of integration with the University, with approaches on scientific production, the role of the institution in society and topics related to professional activity in the different areas of undergraduate courses.
Who can participate
The selection will be carried out in order of registration. Priority is given to "freshmen" who have obtained a score below 40% of the maximum in the Pism and/or Sisu entrance selection processes, in the corresponding areas for the chosen modality. Subsequently, other entrants will be considered, and if there are still vacancies, veteran students, who may occupy a maximum of 10% of the places in each class.
Each student is allowed to submit only one application and must indicate their preferred course at the time of application. Each course will have a limit of 20 students and must have at least five enrolled students in order for the activities to begin.
Classes and schedules
In the second semester of the 2026 academic year, five classes will be offered. Classes will be held at the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Letters. Please see the days of the week, times, and locations below.
- Mathematics and its Technologies (Class A):Tuesday, from 7 PM to 9 PM, in the Faculty of Engineering, room 5.301.
- Mathematics and its Technologies (Group B):Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Faculty of Engineering, Room 5.301;
- Mathematics and its Technologies (Group C):Wednesday, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, at the Faculty of Engineering, Room 5.314;
- Languages and its Technologies (Group A):Thursday, from 7 PM to 9 PM, at the Faculty of Letters, room 1040;
- Languages and Their Technologies (Group B):Thursday, from 3 PM to 5 PM, at the Faculty of Letters, room 1040;
- Languages and Their Technologies (Group C):Friday, from 10 AM to 12 PM, at the Faculty of Letters, room 1040;
Result
The result, with the indication of the respective groups, will be published on September 11, starting at 5:00 PM. The activities of the Pedagogical Welcome Program will begin on September 16.
