Flash Flood Warning issued September 4 at 12:24AM EDT until September 4 at 3:00AM EDT by NWS Baltimore MD/Washington DC

At 1224 AM EDT, emergency management reported multiple water rescues in the vicinity of Commonwealth Road, Glebe Road, and Wilson Avenue with multiple vehicles stalled out in high water. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 30 minutes. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
