TheCampusNovo Paraíso of the Federal Institute of Roraima (IFRR/CNP) published two calls for the selection of coordinators of courses offered in the distance education (EaD) modality and linked to the Brazil Open University (UAB) program, of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). The selection processes are exclusively for permanent faculty members of the IFRR and provide for an immediate vacancy and a reserve position for each position.
VEGETABLE PRODUCTION– TheEdital 10/2026selects coordinator for the postgraduate courselato sensuAgricultural Production. The position will have an estimated duration of 18 months and will serve the Boa Vista, Mucajaí, Caracaraí, and São Luiz poles. The coordinator will receive a monthly allowance of R$ 2,000, paid by the Capes within the UAB.
To compete for the position of coordinator of this course, it is necessary to be a permanent faculty member of the IFRR, possess a degree in Agronomy or related fields, as well as a specialization, master's degree, or doctorate, and have at least one year of experience in higher education. Also required is residency in Roraima and availability for periodic visits to the poles, including weekends.
Registration for this selection will be conducted from September 5 to 21, through the Management of Competitions System (SGC), at the address https://sgc.ifrr.edu.br/The selection will be based on curriculum review. The preliminary list of registered candidates is expected to be released on September 22, and the final selection result on October 7.
SMALL-SCALE FARMING– TheNotice 11/2026Concerns the selection for the coordinator of the Aquaculture Production course, also in the EaD modality and linked to the UAB program. The position will have a planned duration of 36 months, with activity in the Iracema, Caracaraí and São Luiz poles. As in the other selection process, there is a planned immediate vacancy, with a monthly salary of R$ 2,000, and the creation of a reserve register.
In this selection, eligible candidates include full-time faculty members of the IFRR with a minimum master's degree, a bachelor's degree in Aquaculture Production Technology, Fisheries Engineering, or related fields, and at least one year of experience in higher education. Candidates must also reside in Roraima and have availability to make periodic visits to the municipal poles, including Saturdays and Sundays.
Registration for the course will take place from September 8 to 22, also through the SGC. The selection will be based on curriculum analysis. The preliminary list of registered candidates is expected to be released on September 23, and the curriculum analysis period will be from September 29 to October 6.
In both processes, the planned workload for the coordinator position is 20 hours per week, to be fulfilled in person at the Coordination of Distance Education.CampusNovo Paraíso and organized trips to the poles. The activities are considered extracurricular and do not imply a reduction in the regular working hours of the employee at IFRR.
Among the responsibilities of the coordinators are the monitoring of academic activities, the supervision of tutors and teachers, the monitoring of virtual learning environments, participation in meetings and training, and the preparation of reports on the development of courses.
