Vladimir Putin sent greetings to President of Brazil Luis Inacio Lula da Silva on Brazil’s national holiday, Independence Day.
The message reads, in part:
“Relations between Russia and Brazil are successfully progressing in the spirit of strategic partnership. Our countries actively cooperate in most diverse areas and align their efforts as part of the UN, BRICS, the G20, and other multilateral associations.
We will undoubtedly continue our constructive joint efforts to further consolidate the entire range of mutually beneficial Russian‑Brazilian ties. This fully meets the interests of our friendly peoples and is in line with the goal of building a new, more just, multipolar world order.”
