Vladimir Putin approved a list of instructions following the meeting with representatives of the small indigenous peoples of Russia held on April 30, 2026, as part of the Znaniye. The First federal educational marathon.
The Government has been instructed to submit proposals for maintaining state support measures for the small indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Russian Far East if their population exceeds 50,000.
The instructions to the Government also concern the mandatory publication in electronic format of textbooks and teaching aids included in the federal list of textbooks approved for use in educational institutions, as well as the use of multimedia and interactive tools that enhance cognitive abilities and improve learning outcomes.
The Government of the Russian Federation, together with the Presidential Executive Office, has been instructed to submit proposals for expanding the range of textbooks and teaching aids in the native languages of the small indigenous peoples of Russia for the study of their native languages, as well as their literature, including through the provision of financial support for their publication.
The Znaniye Russian Society has been instructed to continue to create and distribute educational content online aimed at strengthening the unity of the peoples of Russia by promoting their cultural heritage, traditions, customs, folk art, and national cuisines.
