As reported by Ukrinform, the SSU said this.

The special operation was carried out under the personal coordination of SSU Head Major General Oleksandr Poklad.
The investigation established that the suspect planned to shoot the activist during his morning walk with his dog in a forest.
To do so, the agent had been tracking the potential victim’s daily schedule and movements for an extended period. He also received coordinates from the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) to a cache, where he retrieved a pistol with ammunition and a suppressor.
Following instructions from the Russian intelligence service, the young man was then supposed to spend the night in the forest near the public figure’s home and kill him with several shots from an ambush.
SSU officers uncovered the enemy plot in advance and arrested the suspect in an ambush while he was preparing the assassination attempt.
According to the case materials, the FSB’s order was carried out by a recruited 19-year-old resident of Mykolaiv. Russian agents took notice of him because of his activity on social media. In particular, the suspect had published posts supporting fascist and Nazi ideology.
After recruiting him, the Russian intelligence service sent the suspect to Kyiv to carry out the killing.
During searches of the suspect’s belongings, investigators seized three pistols with suppressors and ammunition, as well as smartphones containing evidence of his work for the FSB.
SSU investigators served him with a notice of suspicion under several articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
The suspect is in custody. He faces life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
