At 233 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Pine Plains, or 12 miles east of Rhinebeck, moving southeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Torrington, New Milford, Amenia, Kent, Sharon, Pine Plains, Millbrook, Litchfield, Millerton, Northwest Harwinton, Stanfordville, Gaylordsville, Falls Village, New Preston, Cornwall Bridge, Wingdale, Dover Plains, Harwinton, Bethel, and Salisbury.
